Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in parks, grounds, facilities, streets, or municipal utilities maintenance or construction.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Washington State Driver’s License within 1 month of hire.
• Within six months: first aid/CPR, flagger, and confined space competent person.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and services assigned utilities, facilities, or equipment.
• Assists seniors with operation of maintenance equipment (weed eaters, hedge trimmers, blower, and various hand and power tools).
• Assists with traffic control and work-zone setup for crew safety.
• May be reassigned to other divisions during peak workloads or emergencies.
• Assists in confined space entry situations.
• Accepts guidance and feedback from others.
• Assists with camera equipment, vacuum/high pressure water truck, and mowers (≤60 inches).
• Assists in cleaning sanitary and storm sewer systems.
