Job summary

The City of Marysville, WA is seeking a Streets Maintenance Technician II to perform journey level work in maintenance of streets, facilities, and right-of-ways. You will handle repair, inspection, and preventive tasks with supervision available as needed.

Three years of street maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a WA Driver’s License are required; multiple certifications or the ability to obtain them within months are expected. Teamsters union involvement may apply.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in street maintenance or construction.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a Washington State Driver’s License within one month of hire.
• Several listed certifications or the ability to obtain them within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and repair city streets, sidewalks, alleys, and trails to city standards.
• Assist in traffic control plan preparation and perform traffic control functions.
• Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and service municipal utilities, facilities, or equipment.
• Maintain files and records related to facility or utility work; submit work orders.
• Operate assigned equipment; report major repairs to supervisor.
• Respond to customer inquiries and requests.
• May oversee work of workers assigned to crew.
• May be assigned to other divisions during peak workloads or emergencies.
