Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA, seeks an Associate Sterile Processing Technician. This full-time, variable-shift role entails 8-hour days and entry-level sterile processing duties under supervision, following completion of approved education and clinical training.

Qualifications

• Completion of the required didactic or classroom portion of an accredited or organization-approved sterile processing education program.
• Eligibility to complete the clinical, hands-on, or practicum portion of the sterile processing program following employment.
• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician within 1 year of hire or
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participates in cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable medical devices and surgical instrumentation.
• Follows facility policies and applicable standards and guidelines while performing duties.
• Progressively assumes additional responsibilities as training and competency requirements are completed.
