Job summary

Providence Newberg Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to ensure clean, inspected, sterilized, and properly distributed instrumentation. The role works closely with surgical teams to keep supplies ready for procedures and patient care.

Ideal candidates will hold national sterile processing certifications and have at least 3 years of hands-on experience, with proficiency in basic PC software and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• National certifications required at hire as listed.
• Minimum 3 years of recent sterile processing experience.
• Experience using personal computer and basic software applications.

Responsibilities

• The Tech-Sterile Processing 2 is responsible for the effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, proper sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure sterile supplies and instrumentation are available for surgical cases and procedures.

Job description

The Tech-Sterile Processing 2 is responsible for the effective cleaning, inspection, maintenance, proper sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for surgical cases as well as other procedures requiring sterile supplies and/or instrumentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or
• Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, or
• upon hire: National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
• 3 years of recent sterile processing experience.
