Job summary

Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA seeks an Associate Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time, variable shift role. You will work 8 hours daily under guidance of Sterile Processing staff, contributing to cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of instruments.

The position requires completion of a sterile processing education program and eligibility to complete clinical training, with certification targeted within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of the required didactic portion of an accredited or organization-approved sterile processing education program.
• Eligibility to complete the clinical portion following employment.
• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level sterile processing duties under supervision.
• Assist in cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of reusable medical devices.
• Handle storage and distribution of sterile supplies in accordance with policy and standards.
