Job summary

UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO is seeking an entry level Sterile Processing Technician to perform core sterile processing tasks. This onsite role operates in the evenings and pays hourly based on experience.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, following IFUs for decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of instruments. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and CSPDT or CRCST certification; 3 months of certified experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certified CSPDT or CRCST from CBSPD/HSPA.

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning following IFU's.
• Disassembles items before choosing appropriate cleaning method.
• Performs sterilization of instrument and equipment based on IFUs with appropriate indicators.
• Performs routine cleaning and sterilizer testing including biological monitoring and Bowie-Dick tests.
• Documents work performed using instrument-tracking software or paper documentation.
• Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
