Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO is seeking an entry-level Sterile Processing Technician for the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. The role operates nights on a full-time, onsite schedule with pay between $23.49 and $30.53 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and documentation. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and CSPDT/CRCST certifications. Prior certified experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification as CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (HSPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning following IFU’s.
• Disassembles items before choosing appropriate cleaning method.
• Performs sterilization of instrument and equipment based on IFUs.
• Inspects indicators, filters and labels.
• Performs routine cleaning and sterilizer testing including biological monitoring.“
• Documents work performed using tracking software or paper records.

Education

High School diploma or GED

CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD

CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from HSPA
