UVA Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Assistant to support the clean, organized, and efficient handling of medical instruments used throughout the hospital.

This entry-level position requires no prior sterile processing experience and no certifications. You’ll work a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule with walking throughout the day and training provided to help you grow in healthcare.

Qualifications

• No previous sterile processing experience required.
• No certifications required.
• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transporting sterile and contaminated instrumentation throughout designated areas.
• Breaking down boxes and organizing supplies.
• Checking expiration dates on sterile items.
• Emptying cart washers and supporting equipment workflow.
• Assisting with general departmental operations.
• Completing other assigned duties as needed.
