The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia's UVA Temps is seeking an Entry Level Temporary Sterile Processing Technician in Charlottesville, VA. The role focuses on decontamination, cleaning, packaging, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Two shifts available, Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week, no weekends or holidays; shifts 7:00–3:30 and 3:00–11:30. Starting pay is $17.50 per hour. Background check & drug screen required.
UVA Temps is recruiting for organized, detail oriented, and professional persons to fill Temporary Sterile Processing Technician roles within the Medical Center.

Sterile Processing Technicians perform and participate in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation, supplies, and equipment.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail. Ability to lift/push/pull 50--100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, noise, outdoor climate, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
