Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. seeks an Entry-Level Wire Harness Electrical Engineer to develop EWIS for avionics hardware, instrumentation, and payloads. You will work in small teams through design, manufacturing, testing, and final integration of components on launch vehicles and spacecraft.

This position is 100% onsite in Cedar Park, TX. You will generate schematics, wire diagrams, harness routing drawings, and technical reports to support flight, qualification, and test-lab harness

Qualifications

• Facilities require US citizenship or permanent residency.
• Familiar with test equipment to verify harness design and assembly.
• Knowledge of harness design, fabrication, and installation standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, MSFC-SPEC-494).
• Experience selecting connectors, backshells, wires and other harness components.
• Understanding of electrical grounding requirements and system-level grounding via wire harness design.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team, be proactive, and execute with minimal guidance.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate EWIS designs on launch vehicles and spacecraft.
• Follow industry guidelines for wire harness development and design.
• Create schematics, wire diagrams, harness routing, 2D drawings, and technical reports for flight and test labs.
• Coordinate requirements and interfaces across engineering, production, and integration.
• Make development decisions based on risk, cost, schedule, and quality.
