Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. is seeking a Wire Harness Electrical Engineer to develop EWIS for avionics hardware, instrumentation, and payloads. This onsite role in Cedar Park, TX involves end-to-end design, analysis, and integration on launch vehicles and spacecraft.

You will generate schematics, wire diagrams, and 3D routing, coordinate across disciplines, and support flight hardware with rigorous design reviews and documentation.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident due to facility security requirements.
• 1–3 years of related engineering experience.
• Familiar with harness design, fabrication, and installation standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, MSFC-SPEC-494.
• Experience selecting connectors, backshells, wires, and other harness components.
• Understanding of electrical grounding and system-level grounding via harness design.

Responsibilities

• Develop EWIS designs for launch vehicles and spacecraft.
• Generate schematics, wire diagrams, 3D CAD routing, and 2D drawings.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, production and integration.
• Present design/analysis/test results at design reviews.
• Collaborate with teams to create innovative, compliant harness designs.
• Tailor aerospace harnessing standards into internal design standards.
