Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Wire Harness Electrical Engineer to develop EWIS for avionics hardware and launch vehicles. This 100% onsite position in Cedar Park, TX involves design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and integration activities across teams.

You will own projects, generate schematics and harness drawings, and work with suppliers and internal groups to ensure flight readiness. A BS in EE is required, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Familiar with test equipment to verify harness design and assembly.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, MSFC-SPEC-494.
• Experience selecting connectors, backshells, wires, and harness components.
• Understanding of electrical grounding and implementation in harness design.
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a team and execute with minimal guidance.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop EWIS designs for launch vehicles and spacecraft.
• Understand and apply industry guidelines for wiring harness development.
• Generate schematics, wire diagrams, 3D harness routing, 2D drawings, and technical reports.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering, production, and integration.
• Make development decisions based on merit, risk, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Support design reviews with design, analysis, and test results for flight readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to drive improvements.
• Tailor aerospace harnessing standards to internal design requirements.
