Job summary

AMT is growing and seeking an Entry Level Site / Civil Engineer to join our Site / Civil team in Rockville, MD. The position starts in May 2027 upon graduation, with a path to professional growth.

You will support design of site and infrastructure improvements, prepare construction documents, and participate in site inspections. A hybrid (office/remote) schedule and competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering required or expected.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• EIT certification or candidate pursuing EIT preferred.
• Experience assisting in plans, specifications, and cost estimates is a plus.
• Ability to prepare engineering studies and reports.

AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Site / Civil Engineer to join our growing Site / Civil team of design professionals in our Rockville, MD office. Position will start in May 2027 upon graduation.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects, develop your career, and seek advancement as a Site / Civil Engineer. In addition to supporting projects in their assigned office, the candidate may be involved with other AMT offices and project opportunities.

We provide an Excellent Work / Life Balance and an opportunity to work a Hybrid (Combination of Office and Remote) schedule.

• Support and Preparation of construction documents
• Design of site and infrastructure improvements including grading, utilities, erosion control, stormwater management, site laying including roadway improvements, the preparation of calculations and reports, and site inspections and construction administration duties
• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Technical proficiency in using AutoCAD including Civil 3D and/or Microstation preferred.
• Ability to assist on preparation of engineering studies and reports
• EIT preferred
• Prior Internship experience with preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates preffered
