Job summary

Tessier’s Mechanical Contractors in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a motivated Entry Level Shop Helper/Welder/CDL Driver to learn the sheet metal trade from the bottom up. You will assist journeymen with fabrication, welding, assembly, and installation.

This is a full-time pre-apprentice role with 4-day weeks, early shift, and potential travel. You must have a valid driver's license, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and be willing to obtain your CDL through our training program.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate CDL vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical shop tasks.
• Willingness to learn welding, fabrication, and sheet metal assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen with fabrication, welding, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products.
• Support mechanical troubleshooting and shop maintenance.
• Load materials and operate hand tools and shop machinery.
• Possibility of light travel and overtime on Fridays.
