Job summary

Tessiers Mechanical Contractors, a Midwest premier mechanical contractor in Sioux Falls, is seeking a qualified candidate for a Sheet Metal Shop Pre-Apprentice/Laborer position. You will assist journeymen in fabrication, assembly, insulation, and installation of sheet metal products and structures, with some loading and general shop work.

The role is full-time with a 4-day work week (6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Mon–Thu).

Qualifications

• Basic math and general aptitude required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stand for long periods.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-work physical and drug screen.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen in fabrication, assembly, insulation and installation of sheet metal products and structures.
• Load delivery trucks and perform general shop maintenance.
• Operate hand tools and shop machinery; some walking/light travel outside the shop may be required.
