Tessiers Mechanical Contractors, a division of APi Group, is seeking an Entry Level Shop/Welder/CDL Driver in Mitchell, SD. The role involves supporting journeymen in fabrication, welding, and installation of sheet metal products, along with light travel and CDL-related driving duties.

The position is full-time, with a 4-day work week, on-site shop work, and opportunities to join a union apprenticeship program including health insurance and pension benefits. CDL training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and math aptitude required.
• Ability to pass a pre-work physical and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and CDL driving considered for duty requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen in fabrication, assembly, welding, and installation of sheet metal products.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and load materials and equipment.
• Operate hand tools and shop machinery; forklift usage as needed.
