Volvo Construction Equipment is offering an entry-level trainee position in Fresno with a structured 3-year training plan to advance to shop and/or field technician roles. The trainee will assist with mechanical repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on Volvo machinery and related equipment brands to increase knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on construction, automotive, agriculture, or mechanical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must possess tools sufficient to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist shop/field technicians with repair jobs as needed.
• Attend training classes to increase equipment knowledge.
• Perform service and repair work under close supervision.
• Diagnose, test and repair heavy equipment.
• Understand basic repair diagrams and schematics.
• Work around heavy construction equipment and access hard-to-reach areas.
