Job summary

Prosom in Boise, ID seeks entry‑level Field Service Engineers with hands‑on semiconductor equipment experience to join our client’s growing engineering team. Open to new graduates, with internship experience in college, you will perform installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of precision inspection and metrology systems and interact directly with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Physics, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering (Chemistry accepted if hands‑on FSE experience).
• Hands‑on experience using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and hand tools.
• Experience in a cleanroom environment.
• Familiarity with lasers, vacuum systems, and optical systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with international teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for customer support and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades in cleanroom environments.
• Interface with customers to assess issues and deliver technical solutions while ensuring high system uptime.
• Support system integration, calibration, and testing processes.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
