Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY is seeking an entry-level Advanced Manufacturing Equipment Engineer as part of the 2027 New College Graduate program. You will join the Fab 8 team to support installation, startup, and continuous improvement of semiconductor equipment, collaborating with process and manufacturing teams.

You will develop SOPs and training materials, analyze tool performance, and help drive cost reductions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or related field from an accredited degree program.
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Travel - Up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Work in close collaboration with process and manufacturing teams.
• Establish equipment engineering and maintenance processes to operate and maintain production tools.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, BKMs, and JBIs for equipment performance and reliability.
• Develop training materials and provide training for equipment technicians.
• Partner with equipment suppliers, manage escalations, and drive resolution of tool issues.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of semiconductor process tool issues.
