Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Junior NOC Network Administrator to support day-to-day operations in a federal IT environment. The role focuses on monitoring servers and core services, performing basic troubleshooting, and applying routine maintenance under supervision.

You will document configurations, participate in incident response, and collaborate with network and security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years in junior system administration or NOC support.
• Foundational understanding of Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and backup solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• US citizenship with active SECRET clearance within 24 months.
• Security+ or DoD 8180 IAT-II certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, OS, and core services; manage alerts and tickets.
• Follow SOPs for patching, configs, restarts, backups, and access control.
• Troubleshoot common system issues and escalate when needed.
• Document configurations, changes, and incidents for auditability.
• Participate in incident response, backup, and security monitoring.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to diagnose and restore services.
• Ensure change and configuration management processes are followed.
