Job summary

East Irondequoit CSD in Irondequoit, NY, has an opening for a Computer Support Assistant in the Information Technology Department. The position is 12 months, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, and is an entry-level role assisting users with hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and training.

The role supports district staff and students’ technology needs, including laptops, iPads, panels, printers, MFA setup, device configuration, and participates in IT projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; plus one of: (A) 1 year paid full‑time computer support experience; (B) 9 college CS/IT credits; (C) CompTIA A+, Microsoft Office Specialist, or Google IT Support Professional Certification; (D) equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Support IT inventory, asset management and surplus.
• Provide technical support for staff and students' technology needs, including laptops, iPads, interactive panels, webcams, printers and basic phone issues.
• Assist with setting up technology for new staff, including MFA and device configuration.
• Support IT goals and participate in special projects or initiatives.
• Troubleshoot device and software issues; process broken devices for repair; perform Windows/iOS updates.
• Provide tech support for summer programs and for Computer Based Testing.
