Job summary

Rochester Community Schools is seeking a Tech Assistant to support level 1 technology for students and staff. The role will follow the 2026-2027 school calendar and is 4 hours per day, 0.5 FTE, starting August 10, 2026.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, strong English, and the ability to lift 25 pounds and climb ladders. Applicants must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and strong English language skills.

• Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of computer operation.

• Able to work with minimal supervision and handle interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, projectors, interactive white boards and peripherals as directed.
• Set up technical equipment as necessary.
• Track and resolve technology tickets.
• Attend monthly technology meetings.
• Maintain building technology inventory.
• Assist the Building Technician with installation/moves/changes of building technology resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
