Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline is preferred or required as applicable.
• Knowledge of safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials.
• Identify tools required for tasks and measure, mark, and cut materials to specifications.
• Assist craftsmen to erect and disassemble scaffolding and install ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Assist with construction, reinforcement, and dismantling of scaffolds.
• Assist with building and constructing wooden scaffolds and auxiliary items.
• Perform work involving rigging of equipment loads.
