Goodwill Industries of Akron is hiring an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier. You’ll be the face of our agency, delivering friendly, helpful service to shoppers and donors while supporting our mission in the community.

You’ll handle purchases, operate the cash register and POS, price donated goods, and help keep the store neat and welcoming. This role requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a cash register including basic math, computer, and typing skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register and count back change.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the agency and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Assist with purchases and operate the cash register and POS.
• Complete donation counts, daily statements, deposits, and cash drawer balances.
• Answer the phone with friendliness and resolve questions.
• Select and price donated goods while maintaining quality standards.
• Keep all areas neat and clean and meet many customers daily.
