Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Akron is hiring an entry-level Sales Associate / Cashier to be the face of our store, greeting customers and supporting the mission to serve the community. You will handle purchases at the cash register and POS, balance the drawer, price donated goods, keep areas neat, and promote the Goodwill Club.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a cash register including basic math, computer, and typing skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register and count back change.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet shoppers and donors warmly and provide helpful service.
• Assist with purchases, operate the cash register and POS system accurately.
• Price donated goods and textiles, and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Encourage sign-ups for the Goodwill Club and inform customers about the Elizabeth Clark Fund.
• Keep daily reports and balances accurate and complete.
