Job summary

Quality Labor Management (QLM) in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Entry-Level Safety Coordinator to work with senior field management to support a safe, compliant work environment across active commercial and industrial construction projects.

No prior formal safety management experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and basic familiarity with active construction or electrical jobsites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; safety coursework is a plus.
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred (training provided).
• Ability to walk active construction sites and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily jobsite audits and walks to identify hazards and verify PPE use.
• Assist with safety training, onboarding, and weekly toolbox talks.
• Maintain safety logs, JHAs, SDS, and PPE inspection sheets.
• Document near-misses and incidents under supervision.
• Support Lockout/Tagout and fall protection oversight on sites.
• Inspect first aid kits, eye wash stations, extinguishers, and fall arrest gear.
