Job summary

Garver is seeking an entry-level Roadway Project Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Oklahoma City. You will assist in designing and creating construction documents for a variety of transportation projects and contribute to multicompone​nt roadway design tasks.

You will gain exposure to the big picture of project delivery, including mentoring younger engineers and involvement in marketing and procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) or the ability to become one within 1 year of employment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and creation of construction documents for transportation projects.
• Work on roadway design components including typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage, erosion control, safety features, and traffic maintenance plans.
• Prepare construction documents with drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Train younger engineers and manage task assignments for junior staff.
• Expose to project procurement marketing and mentoring processes.
