Job summary

Dewberry in Orlando, FL is seeking an Entry-Level Roadway Engineer to grow our transportation design practice and support FDOT and municipal projects. You will work with experienced engineers, develop roadway geometrics, and prepare plans and reports while collaborating with Structures, Drainage, and Traffic teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience on public agency projects.
• EI or EIT license or commitment to obtain within one year.
• Knowledge of FDOT roadway design criteria and plans production processes.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads/OpenRoads Designer (MicroStation).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet schedules.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to an outstanding team.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadway geometrics and detailed construction plans.
• Prepare engineering reports and contract documents.
• Learn from senior Roadway Engineers and Project Managers.
• Collaborate with Structures, Drainage, and Traffic teams.
• Provide engineering support for projects in construction.
