Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience on FDOT or similar public agency projects.
  • Florida PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Strong roadway design knowledge, criteria, and plans production processes (FDOT preferred).
  • Proficiency with Open Roads Designer.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments to meet schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways.
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents.
  • Review work performed by junior engineers and provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Serve as Engineer‑of‑Record on roadway projects for DOTs, contractors, and municipal agencies.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Transportation Discipline Leaders.
  • Prepare marketing materials and assist project teams during pursuits.
  • Provide engineering support during construction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Engineer‑of‑Record on a variety of roadway projects from arterial widenings to multi‑level interchanges, for a variety of clients from DOTs to contractors to municipal agencies
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Transportation Discipline Leaders
  • Prepare marketing materials and collaborate with project teams during pursuits
  • Provide engineering support for projects in construction
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projects
  • Florida PE license or ability to obtain one within six months
  • Strong background in roadway design principles, criteria, and plans production processes (preferably with FDOT)
  • Proficiency with Open Roads Designer
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a timely fashion to meet project schedules
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Strong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry‑leading professionals
