Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated's Orlando, FL office is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer to grow our transportation design practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on FDOT and municipal projects and advance our local infrastructure capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience on FDOT or similar public agency projects.
• Florida PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong roadway design knowledge, criteria, and plans production processes (FDOT preferred).
• Proficiency with Open Roads Designer.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments to meet schedules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways.
• Prepare engineering reports and contract documents.
• Review work performed by junior engineers and provide coaching and mentorship.
• Serve as Engineer‑of‑Record on roadway projects for DOTs, contractors, and municipal agencies.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Transportation Discipline Leaders.
• Prepare marketing materials and assist project teams during pursuits.
• Provide engineering support during construction.
