Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Roadway Engineer for our Orlando, FL office to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice. This role offers career advancement opportunities within a nationally recognized multi-disciplined engineering firm.

The successful candidate will work with a collaborative team on FDOT and municipal projects, gaining experience in roadway design, reports, and construction support in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
0-2 years of relevant FDOT/public agency project experience.
EI or EIT license, or commitment to obtain within one year.
Knowledge of FDOT roadway design criteria and plans production.
Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet schedules.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

Develop roadway geometrics and prepare detailed plans for construction.
Prepare engineering reports and contract documents.
Work with experienced Roadway Engineers and Project Managers.
Collaborate with engineers in Structures, Drainage, and Traffic.
Provide engineering support for projects in construction.
