Job summary

Contract Land Staff seeks an entry-level Right of Way Agent to work on-site in our Albuquerque, NM office. The role provides formal on-the-job training across appraisals, acquisitions, relocation assistance, utility relocation and property management.

The position emphasizes negotiations with property owners, title reviews, and preparing acquisition documents. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; a real estate license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in the right of way industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and real estate license in the state of assignment.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Obtain fee titles, easements, permits and agreements for projects.
• Research property titles and records to verify ownership.
• Negotiate with property owners to secure rights of way.
• Review title reports, deeds, and surveys for accuracy.
• Prepare offers, maps, and description documents for acquisitions.
• Coordinate with agencies to obtain permits and leases.
• Perform general administrative duties related to ROW projects.
