Job summary

Family Dollar in Trinity, NC is seeking a Part-time Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, and keep the store stocked and presentable.

The role emphasizes friendly service, reliable cash handling, and adherence to safety and store standards. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at a standing pace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Must be able to lift 30 to 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
