Job summary

Goodwill Industries SELA is hiring a Retail Associate in River Ridge, Louisiana. The role covers cashier duties, backroom production, and sales floor duties to support daily store operations. You will engage donors, assist customers, and contribute to a clean, organized shopping environment.

The position is full-time and requires ability to work a flexible schedule, lift items, and maintain a positive, efficient store flow in a community-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• To perform the general duties necessary for the efficient operation of the Company’s retail stores.
• To operate cash register, receive payment for purchases and record sales and other transactions.
• To sort and hang at least 125 garments an hour, with a minimum quality standard of 80%.
• To transfer merchandise from the back room to the sales floor.
• To ensure a clean and empty workstation at the end of shift.
• To rotate store merchandise as directed by store management.
