Job summary

BMS CAT & Blackmon Mooring is seeking reliable helpers to support day-to-day remediation operations on residential, commercial, and industrial projects including mold remediation, water damage restoration, and fire/smoke cleanup. Training is provided to candidates who show a strong work ethic.

You will perform cleaning, setup containment, operate dehumidifiers, and assist with inspections and inventory control while following safety and company procedures.

• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting 50+ lbs and climbing ladders.
• Comfortable with PPE and safety protocols.
• Preferred forklift experience and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning, wiping, HEPA vacuuming, and debris removal in remediation work zones.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining containment barriers, negative air machines, HEPA scrubbers, and dehumidifiers.
• Conduct pre-clean and post-clean sanitation in accordance with IICRC and company standards.
• Safely handle and dispose of contaminated materials following environmental and regulatory guidelines.
• Load-in/load-out of equipment, tools, and materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, vehicles, and equipment to ensure a professional and safe environment.
• Follow all PPE requirements, safety protocols, and job-specific instructions provided by supervisors or project managers.
• Document daily work activities, including before/after photos, material usage, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with odor removal, surface decontamination, and antimicrobial application as needed.
• Uphold professionalism when interacting with customers, property owners, and onsite personnel.
