Job summary

JES Holdings, Fairway Management is seeking a dynamic maintenance helper to support basic residential upkeep, unit turns, and curb appeal. You will be punctual, manage time effectively, and provide enthusiastic service to residents while completing work orders and assisting with on-call duties.

You will travel to and assist with multiple properties, perform painting, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning as needed, and report health and safety concerns to the Property Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• 0–2 years of basic maintenance experience in residential, multifamily, commercial, hotel maintenance, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete and assist with daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit turns in a timely manner including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
• Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
• Reports to Property Manager, Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
• Travel to and participate in both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
• Make the manager aware of any health and safety concerns on site.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed and approved
• Must be eager to train and learn company systems, engage in training programs on HVAC, safety training, and be engaged in HUD and LIHTC maintenance standard training, State inspection / INSPIRE.
