Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Relay Technician I to assist in installing, testing, and maintaining protective relay and control systems in substations and industrial environments. You will develop foundational knowledge of relay protection theory and practical testing under supervision of senior technicians and engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/electronic technology.
  • NETA certification is a plus.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, testing, or repairing protection relays.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission protection and control systems on relay panels, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Read and interpret one-line, three-line, and AC/DC schematics.
  • Document testing activities and maintain detailed reports.
  • Work under supervision of senior technicians and engineers.
  • Maintain safety and PPE compliance.
