Responsibilities

This position assists in repairing and overhauling refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs efficiently and accurately. Key duties include:

• Servicing equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices safely and efficiently
• Performing repairs on refrigeration, HVAC units, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electric motors
• Providing preventative maintenance by diagnosing malfunctions and deficiencies
• Processing job tickets and work orders promptly
• Training new or less experienced technicians as needed
• Assisting with minor construction and startup of new installations
• Driving company vehicle safely
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• EPA certification
• Trade school certification a plus
• Good driving record
• Knowledge of refrigeration, ice machines, gas furnaces, electrical components
• Experience with systems like display cases, walk-in boxes
• 1-2 years in commercial refrigeration or HVAC
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair controls and equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and good communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and sit/stand for hours
