Responsibilities

• Participate in an informative 2‑month training program with experienced Recruiters and Account Executives to boost your career in IT recruiting
• Work closely with a Team Lead to perfect your skills in sourcing, interviewing, and submitting candidates
• Gain experience in cold calling, interacting, and prospecting new business
• Gain a foundation for Optomi’s recruiting and sales process to eventually move into a Technical Recruiter role

What does a Technical Recruiter do for Optomi?

• Use various job platforms to search for and reach out to qualified candidates passively/actively looking for employment
• Conduct phone interviews to assess candidates’ technical experience to see if they are a match for the job opening
• Format resume/submittal package to highlight candidate’s top skills for client review
• Prepare the candidate for phone and in‑person interviews by having in‑depth conversations surrounding questions, scenarios, and technical experience that may be asked by the client
• Work closely with Account Executives to negotiate pay rates for both consultant and client
• Gather and prepare all onboarding paperwork for the candidate after the offer/acceptance stage
• Continue to stay connected with the consultant through happy hours, in‑person meetings, coffees, etc., to ensure they are happy and successful in their new role.
• Meet minimum weekly metrics, including phone interviews/submittals to open jobs

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
