Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Oncology: Radiation is hiring a Radiation Therapist to deliver and record treatments under the Radiation Oncologist. You will review images for setup, perform daily QA, and manage treatment parameters in EMR.

The role includes CT simulation, block creation, immobilization, and MU calculations when needed, with patient handling and age-appropriate care. Applicants should have completed an accredited Radiation Therapy program, hold BLS, and obtain ARRT

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 6 months, RT registration within 1 year.
• Ability to operate radiation therapy equipment and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the Radiation Oncologist.
• Reviews images/port films for patient setup and verification.
• Performs daily QA on equipment and reports irregularities.
• Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters in EMR.
• Maintains appointment schedules and ensures proper charge capture.
• Performs CT simulation, blocks, immobilization, and MU calculations when needed.
• Assists patient positioning and transport with safe lifting techniques.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care and follows department policies.
