Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiation Therapy.
• BLS and ARRT RT registration within specified timelines.

• Knowledge of treatment planning and oncology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under a Radiation Oncologist.
• Reviews images and port films for patient setup and treatment devices.
• Performs daily QA on equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Enters patient treatment parameters into electronic medical records.
• Maintains appointment schedules and ensures charge capture.
• Performs CT simulation prep, blocking, immobilization, and MU calculations.
• Handles patient positioning and transport with proper body mechanics.
• Assesses age-specific patient needs per department policies.
