Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform laboratory tests that evaluate the quality and consistency of products, intermediates and raw materials. The role supports the quality program by validating incoming/outgoing goods and services, under close supervision.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in Chemistry, 0-2 years of experience, and strong analytical, prioritization and communications skills for a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Entry level position 0-2 year’s experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects and think analytically.
• Good prioritization and communication skills (oral and writing).

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on raw materials, intermediates and finished goods to specifications.
• Inform parties of non-conforming products and materials as appropriate.
• Record and report results accurately and timely per guidelines.
• Calibrate equipment and maintain lab workspace.
• Contribute to root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Follow ISO quality and environmental standards and dispose of waste properly.
• Collaborate with Regional Development/Analytical Lab on procedures.
