Job summary

County of Los Angeles seeks an Emergency Purchasing & Contracts Analyst I to support routine and increasingly complex acquisitions for equipment, supplies and services. You will prepare RFQs, RFIs, and contract documents under an emergency framework and help ensure cost-effective, compliant procurements for multiple departments.

Responsibilities include evaluating bids, issuing orders, and assisting with master agreements while aligning with County policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required or equivalent military/civil service experience.
• Three years of purchasing/contracts experience in a competitive bid environment required.
• Certifications in ISM recognized programs are acceptable (APP/CPM/CPSM/CPPB/CPPO).

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs, RFBs, and contract documents.
• Assist senior analysts with complex acquisitions and master agreements.
• Review vendor bids, issue purchase orders, and ensure compliance with terms and county policy.
• Maintain contract records and monitor performance for cost and schedule compliance.
• Support departments in interpreting and applying contract provisions.
