Job summary

City of Lorena, Texas is seeking an entry-level Public Works Maintenance Technician. Training will be provided; no prior public works experience is required. You will join a team maintaining water/wastewater systems, streets, parks, and city facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background check.
• A Class A CDL is preferred, but not required to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Maintain streets, parks, and city equipment/facilities.
• Learn to safely use basic tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and other projects.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Follow safety procedures and directions from supervisors.
