Job summary

The Assistant Proposal Manager will grow to handle technical and financial issues, ensuring timely, accurate submissions and acting as the primary point of contact for scope changes and addenda.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering or Technology required
• Three years Substation Experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat required
• General knowledge of high voltage substations or transmission lines preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Create assigned proposals and manage proposal progress through the life of the proposal
• Maintain correspondence with vendors and potential customers
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of proposals and submittal documents, coordinate with other teams
• Assist customer to ensure scope of work is addressed and responsibilities divided
• Be the primary client contact for changes to scope, schedule, or problems
• Provide periodic updates and status reports on proposals to Team Leader
• Consult with Team Leader/Manager on matters like bonds, special requirements, expedited lead-times
• Handle proposals involving special equipment or engineering
