Job summary

Ironcore Construction is seeking a Project Engineer in San Diego to support day-to-day execution of multifamily construction projects. You will work with Project Managers and Superintendents, coordinating with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other project partners.

This hands-on role develops technical and leadership skills for a career in construction management. The position offers exposure to RFIs, submittals, document control, project closeout, meetings, and Procore management,

Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Basic understanding of contract documents and the RFI process.
• Entry-level exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• RFI Management: receive, review, submit and track RFIs through completion.
• Document Control: maintain and update project plans in Procore; update slip‑sheet plan sets.
• Submittal Management: create and maintain submittal log; track submittals and due dates; coordinate distribution.
• Project Closeout: track closeout documentation and coordinate manuals, warranties, training videos, and as‑built drawings.
• Project Meetings & Communication: prepare meeting agendas and minutes; track action items.
• Procore Management: maintain project information; ensure documentation is accurate and organized.
• SmartBarrel & Compliance: track compliance documentation and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Punch List: work with the Superintendent to create and track punch‑list items.
