Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Engineering Controls Analyst to support project accounting and forecasting across a range of projects from $1 million to $4 billion. The role covers cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, human capital management, and compliance, contributing to month-end close and financial reporting packages.

Based in Lenexa, KS, the position offers full-time employment with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or equivalent degree.
• 0–2 years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Travel and/or relocation may be required (up to 50%).
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups preferred.
• Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to access all parts of a construction site.

Responsibilities

• Understands payroll and HR process workflow and master systems used for hiring, transferring, and paying employees.
• Understands purchasing workflow, vendor invoicing, and internal controls.
• Keeps accounts payable workflow understood and resolves payment or vendor issues.
• Understands intercompany and client billing processes and timely billing documentation.
• Ensures cost and cost adjustments are accurate to meet standards.
• Reviews forecast and budget issues with cost reports for proper recognition.
