CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team in a hybrid role based in the United States. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project performance to support successful delivery of projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and basic knowledge of Primavera and EcoSys, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and adherence to internal procedures.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, and finance concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Primavera scheduling and EcoSys project performance tools.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills for fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with internal procedures and gathers project progress information to update and monitor basic complexity projects.
• Develops and maintains time-phased schedules for portions of routine projects under supervision.
• Generates earned value reports and drafts client/internal status reports to communicate cost status.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project documents.
