Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment, including CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and facility systems. The role requires ability to read electrical schematics and work under supervision in a team environment.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in a production setting, a valid driver’s license, basic maintenance training, and strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must have good time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication with supervisor regarding status of equipment.
• Ability to read low complexity electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and repair manuals.

Responsibilities

• Work under close supervision in a team environment.
• Read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and repair manuals.
• Troubleshoot and repair low-complexity maintenance issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and related equipment.
• Use hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment.
• Assist other maintenance technicians in breakdown repairs during production.
• Understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Support plant TPM goals and maintain 5S in work area.
• Maintain paperwork: work orders, lock out tag out forms, PMP records, requisitions.
• Ensure safety and quality by housekeeping and proper PPE usage.
