Job summary

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering (KIWE) is seeking an entry-level Process Engineer to join our team delivering EPC and design-build projects across North America. You will work on conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project execution using current drawing and technical tools.

Based in Lenexa, KS or Lone Tree, CO, the role offers exposure to water/wastewater treatment, desalination, and industrial process systems while growing skills in PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• EIT certification preferred.
• GPA 3.0 preferred.
• Knowledge of process/water treatment technologies in municipal/industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in chemistry, thermodynamics, hydraulics, and fluid mechanics.
• Proven teamwork and good communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Engineering software knowledge: Mathcad, ASPEN, BioWin, GSP-X or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design support for EPC/EPCm/DB projects including studies, permitting, and plant layouts.
• Develop water mass balances, PFDs, and P&IDs for various water treatment technologies.
• Prepare design calculations and specifications for major equipment.
• Create design deliverables adhering to industry codes and company standards.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting with discipline leadership.
• Coordinate with internal/external partners to address process-related issues.
• Support department managers in achieving performance goals.
